I am prepping for trial this weekend. I haven’t done a jury trial in over 15 years. In my world , cost and risk make trials a thing to be avoided. But this is a unique situation.

The trial is in Monterey, which means a week of living in a hotel away from my family, which I am not happy about. I will not do one of these again.

Unnecessary business travel always sucks, especially when people are like “Oooh, you’re going to Monterey!” like it’s a vacation.

It’ll fly by. Sounds like you’ve had a lot of awesome stuff lately — Italy trip, a couple of car shows, making it through the health scare. Lots to be thankful for.

Bonus points if you can work any Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer-style stuff into it.
